The War Against Cliche by Martin AmisI'm sure this collection of essays are brilliant to some people, but I found it arrogant, judgemental and not terribly interesting. Pulling an author to pieces ranks with boys pulling the wings off daddy long legeses in terms of how interested I am, so I never read beyond the first few.
